AI Shorts Maker is a desktop application designed to automate the creation of short-form videos from start to finish. Users can enter a topic, generate an AI-written script, automatically divide it into scenes, find relevant stock videos and images, create voice-over narration, generate subtitles, and render the final video.One of its main features is its semantic media-matching system. Instead of simply searching for keywords, the application analyzes the meaning of each scene and selects media that better matches the context. It integrates with services such as OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Pexels, Pixabay, Wikimedia Commons, and FFmpeg.The application is built with Python and PySide6 using a modular architecture, includes project save/load functionality, automated scene timing, subtitle generation, and video rendering, and currently has 40 automated regression tests. It is a functional pre-revenue product that can be developed further as a desktop application or used as the foundation for a commercial SaaS platform.
