About
ChangeSpec is an open standard for documenting software changes, providing a structured format for notices and release notes. It enables developers to clearly communicate changes, updates, and deprecations in their software. The standard is designed to be platform-agnostic and adaptable to various development workflows.

How does this differ from keepachangelog format? Schema looks YAML-based?
adoption is gonna be the real test here. every year someone proposes a new standard for changelogs and none of them stick because devs just don't care enough to follow specs. what makes this different from keepachangelog or any of the other formats that already exist?
Love the idea of standardizing change documentation, feels like something the industry has needed for a while. How does this handle breaking changes specifically?
Love seeing more structure brought to release notes, so many teams just slap a changelog together without any real consistency. Having an open standard here could really clean up how changes get communicated across the ecosystem. Congrats on shipping this!
Bold move trying to get devs to write *more* structured docs 😄 Seriously though, how does this differ from keepachangelog?
Interesting concept, but how does this differentiate from keep-a-changelog or conventional commits which already have decent adoption? 🤔 The real challenge will be getting tooling support, without IDE plugins and CI integrations, adoption hurdles will be steep. Curious what the governance model looks like and who's driving this forward.
