Chickadee Bandit is a private hub for the people you coordinate with — a family, a couple, roommates, a care circle, a club, a team, or an HOA. Instead of shipping one fixed dashboard with a giant checklist of features nobody fully uses, Chickadee Bandit works like an app platform. Your household starts as an empty private hub, and you install a small set of focused apps from a catalog of 100+: shared calendar and agenda, chores and routines, grocery lists and meal planning, tasks, notes and whiteboards, expense splitting, home maintenance, document library, pet and plant care, medication tracking, habits and streaks, photo albums, announcements, polls, and many more. Add what fits, remove what doesn't earn its place, and arrange the rest the way your people actually work. Roles and privacy inside the home. You decide what children, adults, guests, and admins can see or change, down to per-app permissions and row-level visibility. Kids see what applies to them; adult-only records stay adult-only. A shared kitchen tablet can run as a wall display or kiosk with per-member PINs, so a screen on the wall never exposes what it shouldn't. Shared Spaces for coordination that crosses households. A Space is a separate shared hub with its own members, apps, and permissions. Co-parents in two homes keep their private household hubs and join a Space for just the custody calendar, school details, expenses, and handoff notes. Adult siblings run a Space for a parent's care. A troop, carpool, neighborhood, or HOA gets announcements, events, volunteer shifts, board minutes, maintenance requests, amenity reservations, dues, and elections — without forcing everyone into one giant household. The isolation is enforced, not conventional: a Space cannot look inside a member's home hub, and a home hub cannot quietly pull data back out of a Space. Location sharing that asks instead of watches. Opt-in per member, and any member can turn it off. A "where are you?" nudge requests a location rather than tracking continuously, and a companion mobile app keeps the family map current. Premium adds geofenced arrival/departure alerts for school or practice pickup, low-battery alerts, ETA home, and SOS check-ins. Build the app you wish existed. Apps are web apps with a manifest declaring the data and capabilities they need. An admin can install a custom or private app from a bundle URL, so a developer, a local organization, or a technically curious family can build for a need the catalog never anticipated. The hub scopes each app's storage, reviews requested access, and asks an admin to approve meaningful permission changes on update. An MCP server also lets AI assistants read and act on household data under the same permission rules. Privacy is the architecture, not a policy page. Every household gets its own isolated, encrypted database rather than a shared table with a tenant column. There are no ads and no data sales.
