The itch: I watch a lot of tutorials and courses, and I kept hitting the same wall. I'd remember "I saw how to do this in some video" and end up re-searching YouTube for something I'd already watched, then scrubbing through 40 minutes to find one moment. Notes in Notion or Docs never worked, they're disconnected from the video. No timestamp, no way back. Books have margins you can write in. Videos don't.
