What it isDraw is a progress-billing and lien-waiver system for construction subcontractors. It produces AIA-style pay applications with a continuation sheet that carries itself forward — scheduled value, work completed to date, stored materials, retainage — and it stops a draft going out when the waiver that should travel with it is missing.Why it existsSubcontractors bill monthly against a schedule of values, and the paperwork is where the money gets stuck. A pay application short a signed lien waiver does not get paid; it just sits. So the overview does not show vanity metrics. It shows what is billed and unreceived, how much retainage is being held to closeout, and how many drafts cannot go out because a waiver is missing.
