About
What it is :FiscoGuard is a web application (mobile-ready by design) that gives Italian partite IVA — forfettari, ordinari, artigiani, commercianti, Gestione Separata — a single place to see their real tax position at any moment of the year, instead of discovering it at the commercialista in June. The problem :Italian freelancers operate with almost no visibility. Invoices live in the SdI portal, expenses in a shoebox, tax liability in a spreadsheet nobody trusts, and deadlines (saldo, acconti, INPS quarterly, the €85.000 forfettario cap) arrive as unpleasant surprises. Generic accounting software either abstracts the fiscal math away entirely or drowns the user in it.How it works :- Data in — Drag-and-drop XML FatturaPA import, CSV bank imports, expense capture with per-category deductibility, and active invoicing (issue invoices with INPS rivalsa, credit notes, PDF export).- Deterministic tax engine — @fiscoguard/core computes everything in pure functions against 2026 rules: IRPEF scaglioni 23/33/43% (L.199/2025), Gestione Separata 26,07% with the €122.295 cap, Artigiani and Commercianti minimums, forfettario coefficients and the €85.000 threshold.- Compliance output — Auto-generated F24s with the correct tribute codes (1792 saldo, 1790/1791 acconti) and INPS causali, plus a Dichiarazione 740 module producing Quadro LM/RR/RX and a .redditi file per Protocollo 72296/2026.- Foresight — A deadline engine and threshold monitors surface what's due 30 days out, backed by an automated email reminder job at 30/7/1 days.- AI where it belongs — A Mistral-powered advisor (EU-hosted, GDPR-friendly) receives the user's real fiscal context — ATECO, regime, fatturato, INPS type — and explains the numbers or researches normative questions. It never produces a figure. If the backend is unreachable it degrades to a deterministic local mode.- Simulation — A forfettario-vs-ordinario simulator with break-even charting, so regime choice is a decision rather than a guess.ArchitectureAn npm-workspaces monorepo. @fiscoguard/core holds types, the tax engine, the Zustand store, and services with zero DOM dependencies, so an Expo mobile package can reuse the identical fiscal logic; @fiscoguard/web is React 18 + Vite + TypeScript on a custom CSS design system. The backend is Python FastAPI over PostgreSQL with JWT + bcrypt + TOTP 2FA, Stripe Checkout for subscriptions on a 7-day trial, and a key-value user-data store. Deployment is Dockerized behind Caddy on a VPS, with an Android build and Play Store pipeline in the repo. The governing principleThe LLM explains; the engine calculates. Every number a user acts on comes from auditable, testable, deterministic code — which is what makes an AI-assisted tax product trustworthy enough to actually use.
