About

FixIt — Home-Repair Marketplace (React + Supabase + Android)

One line: A complete home-repair marketplace — React, Supabase, Android — rebrand it and launch.

What it is

FixIt is a two-sided marketplace for household repairs: customers photograph a problem, get an AI-assisted diagnosis and a price estimate, post a request, and local professionals quote, negotiate and complete the job. It ships as a React + TypeScript web app, a Capacitor Android project, and a Supabase backend defined entirely in migrations.

It is a codebase sale, not a business sale. There is no revenue, no customer list and no live backend in the package. Payments are visible in the UI but not wired end-to-end.

Built and verified

  • Customer and professional roles, separate home screens, profiles, availability and service categories.
  • AI photo scan (analyze-scan) with OpenRouter → Groq → Gemini fallback; uploads to a private bucket.
  • Smart Quote price guidance (unit tests 6/6), request creation, targeted requests and professional discovery.
  • Negotiation: price proposals, accept/decline, job state machine, completion verification, Repair Passport / Repair DNA asset history.
  • Messaging, notifications, reviews, map-based location picking (Leaflet + OpenStreetMap), geocoding proxy.
  • Server-side Stripe Checkout function that reads the amount from the database (never trusts the client).
  • 23 Supabase migrations, 20 tables, 41 public policies, 9 storage policies, 38 functions, 4 buckets; schema.sql for one-paste setup.
  • Local RLS/business-logic test harness with recorded results: 21/21 base checks and 20/20 checks for the 12 prepared fixes.
  • Clean npm ci, TypeScript check, production build, 9/9 unit tests; Android debug APK builds for com.fixit.app (SDK 36, minSdk 24).
  • 4 edge functions pass deno check; full restore, auth, storage and security documentation.

What’s not done (read this before buying)

  • Payments: no client call to the checkout function, no Stripe webhook, USD charged while the UI shows Rs., and return URLs are wrong. This is the main build item.
  • Admin tooling: no admin UI; the first professional must be verified with one SQL update or the included admin RPC patch.
  • Security: a full review is included. The highest-priority findings (public-key read access on scan rows, a customer rewriting their own request ownership/status) are documented with 12 prepared, locally tested SQL fixes that are not applied. Do not launch publicly without addressing them.
  • Missing product features: password reset, account deletion, before/after photo upload UI, Repair Passport history screen, review flow polish.
  • Not verified against a real Supabase project end-to-end; no device/emulator run, load test or penetration test.
