FixIt is an AI visual troubleshooting app for everyday repairs — "see it, ask it, fix it." Take a picture of the problem, describe what's happening, and get a diagnosis with step-by-step walkthrough help. Home, auto, tech, yard, kitchen, workshop — six repair categories.What it does:- Snap & describe — take or upload up to 6 photos, answer "what is happening?", pick a category.- AI diagnosis — problem, likely causes, confidence level, safety warnings, tools and materials, cost estimate, difficulty rating, and time estimate.- Guided walkthrough — step X of N with detail; stuck mid-repair? Snap another photo for extra troubleshooting.- Safety first — electrical, gas, auto, and structural warnings with emergency STOP guidance. The safety-banner logic is tested in the repo.- Offline-first library — searchable how-to articles that work without a connection.- Projects & favorites — save repairs with photos, diagnosis, steps, parts, and costs.Business model (wired in): $7.99 one-time lifetime unlock — no subscription. SKU fixit_lifetime_799 with server-side purchase verification hook and restore-purchase support.Tech: Expo React Native + TypeScript (iOS + Android), Node/Express backend (auth, profiles, purchase verify, AI proxy, image handling, sync, library, rate limiting, safety), SQLite + secure storage on device. No AI keys ship in the app — the backend proxies all AI calls.Disclosures: The AI diagnosis engine's provider interface is built, but the vision-model integration is currently a clearly-labeled stub (returns a hardcoded example) — the buyer connects their own vision API key. The offline knowledge library is seeded with 5 articles. Video diagnosis, voice-out, and a Windows version are spec'd but not built. Not yet published to the App Store or Play Store; the store purchase flow was never tested live. This is troubleshooting guidance software, not a licensed professional.
