I'm building Long Distance, a small app for couples and best friends who are far apart. You link up in a private session and send photos or drawings to each other. Most people use the widget so whatever you send shows up on their Home Screen. Widgets are supposed to be static. I finally got animation working. v1.5.0 lets you send animated mascots (little heart characters: waving, sleepy, miss you, grabbing food, etc.) and they actually move on your partner's widget.
