OverviewNeedle is a beautifully minimalist, production-ready anonymous social network. It uses a highly addictive "vertical swipe" mechanic (similar to TikTok or Tinder) for user-generated text notes. Notes are ephemeral—once swiped, they disappear from the user's feed forever.Why I built it:I originally started this project as a technical challenge to build a highly scalable, serverless architecture capable of handling complex HackerNews-style gravity algorithms and instant automated moderation. I am a cybersecurity and B2B SaaS developer, so consumer marketing is not my focus. I am selling it as a turnkey asset for a marketer to grow.Monetization (Fully Coded & Ready)The app has 3 built-in revenue streams:• Google AdMob: Native ads seamlessly integrated into the swipe deck, plus Interstitial ads.• In-App Purchases: Users can upgrade via Google Play Billing for "Lifetime Premium (2.99)or an"Ad−FreeSubscription"(1.49/mo).• Consumables: Users can buy "Megaphones" ($1.49) to algorithmically boost their note to 1,000 priority views.Safety & ModerationContent moderation is minimized by design. The app includes a hardcoded profanity filter, a 3-strike community auto-hide system, and a shadowban feature for toxic users.
