About

NutriscanIA turns a photo of a meal into a full nutrition breakdown. The user photographs their food, the AI identifies the dish and its ingredients, they confirm the result, and the app logs calories and macros against a personalised target calculated at onboarding from BMI, BMR and TDEE.It is live on both the App Store and Google Play. It has no users and no revenue. I never marketed it, and that is exactly why I am selling.WHAT MAKES IT MORE THAN A GPT WRAPPERMost apps in this category are a thin layer over an AI API. This one has a real data layer underneath:- Ingestion pipelines for USDA FoodData Central (public domain) and Open Food Facts (ODbL)- A concept, alias and measure model that resolves "1 cup of rice" into grams- Barcode lookup that logs every failed lookup as a coverage gap to backfill- A recipe engine with ingredient resolution- A manual nutrition-correction layer over imported data- 13 versioned Flyway migrationsWHAT IS INCLUDED- Both live store listings, ready to transfer- Around 18,400 lines of production code across 296 files, in two repositories- React Native app: Expo 54, TypeScript, expo-router, NativeWind, Zustand, New Architecture- Spring Boot 3.3.5 backend on Java 21, PostgreSQL with 18 tables, JWT auth, Swagger, Docker deploy script- The nutriscania.com domain- Full setup documentation and 30 days of handover supportALREADY BUILTOnboarding with the nutrition maths, photo scanning and manual food entry, daily log and dashboard, weight tracking with goal projection, Google, Apple and Facebook sign-in, subscriptions with vouchers and cancellation, push notifications, three scheduled re-engagement jobs, in-app account deletion, analytics and crash reporting. Spanish and English, metric and imperial units.WHY I AM SELLINGI built it on my own and took it all the way through review on both stores, but I never had the time to market it. The product is finished and running. What it has never had is anyone promoting it. For a buyer who can handle distribution, the engineering is already done.HONEST NOTESNo automated test suite. The scan cache is single-instance, so horizontal scaling needs work. Payments are wired to MercadoPago and will need swapping for most markets. Android subscriptions currently run outside Play Billing. Open Food Facts data is ODbL licensed, so the pipeline and importers transfer but the buyer populates their own database.WHAT YOU WILL NEEDApple and Google developer accounts, plus your own OpenAI, Firebase and AdMob accounts.
