About

pdfzus is a browser-based PDF merge tool built around a very small but very common problem: combining several PDF files should not feel like a full software project.I started working on it because a lot of PDF tools can technically merge files, but the surrounding workflow often becomes heavier than the task itself. If all someone wants to do is combine a few documents, put them in the right order, and send one clean PDF, they often end up dealing with sign-up walls, cluttered interfaces, uploads they may not want, or watermarks on the final file.pdfzus keeps that workflow deliberately narrow. Users can upload multiple PDF files, reorder them with drag and drop, merge them into one document, and compress the final result when they need a smaller file for email or upload portals. The core flow is available without sign-up, and exported files do not include watermarks. The product works especially well for everyday document tasks like job applications, office paperwork, attachments, and portal submissions. Those use cases shaped the product more than any abstract feature list did.One lesson from building it is that the hard part is often not the merge itself. The harder part is removing the extra friction around a simple job. That is why pdfzus is intentionally not trying to become a huge all-in-one PDF suite or enterprise document system. As of March 2026, the project has started building a broader public footprint across GitHub, browser extension platforms, directories, and builder communities, but the core idea has stayed the same: make PDF merging feel smaller, cleaner, and easier to trust.
