Pulse is a finance news app I started building to make it easier to keep up with the companies you care about without having to sort through the same story being reported over and over again.The idea is to let users build a personal watchlist and have Pulse collect relevant news around those companies, then progressively use AI to identify similar stories, filter out unnecessary noise, summarize information and eventually decide which news is actually worth notifying the user about.The project is still in development and currently pre-revenue, but the main technical foundation is already in place. The frontend is built with Next.js, React and Tailwind, with Supabase handling authentication, PostgreSQL and Edge Functions. Marketaux is already integrated for financial news, and the current system can fetch and store articles, use unique external IDs for deduplication and work with Marketaux’s match scores to assess relevance.The project is on GitHub and has already gone through most of the initial setup and integration work. There is still plenty to build, especially around the AI features, notifications, UI/UX and scaling, but the goal is to give someone a solid starting point rather than an empty repository.I’m considering selling Pulse because the scope has grown quite a bit beyond what I can realistically manage alone. I’d rather have someone with the time and resources take the project further than leave it unfinished.
