About

QRocodile is a design-first QR code generator — built on one idea: a QR code is something you design, not just generate. Most QR codes are forgettable black squares, and the "fancy" ones often stop scanning.QRocodile fixes both. You start from 45+ module and finder styles, add your own colors, gradients and logo, and can even make the code move with animated QR codes exported as GIF or video. The result is a code people actually notice — on a menu, flyer, packaging or poster — instead of walking past. That attention is the point. A code that matches your brand, or one that subtly moves, earns a second look, and a second look is a scan. A passive black square becomes a marketing asset that drives traffic, sign-ups, reviews or sales. Here's what most "designer" QR tools get wrong: scannability. A beautiful code a phone can't read is worse than useless. Every QRocodile code is engineered to scan reliably, with built-in contrast checks and smart error correction — so eye-catching and dependable stop being a trade-off. It's built to run entirely client-side. Your WiFi passwords, contact details and business data never touch a server — codes are generated right in your browser. That's a privacy decision baked into the architecture, not a setting. Everything you'd expect from a serious tool is here, and free: 45+ artistic module and finder styles (and growing) Colors, gradients and multi-color palettes Logo embedding — 24 built-in icons or your own, placed anywhere Animated QR codes exported as GIF or video Transparent QR codes you can overlay on any photo Crisp, print-ready SVG and PNG export at any size Batch mode — generate hundreds of codes at once from text or a CSV, in your browser Redesign an existing QR code: drop in the image, decode it privately, give it a fresh look — same content 25+ content types: URL, WiFi, vCard, email, events, social media and more No sign-up, no watermark, no expiry. What you print today still scans years from now. Why we built it: We wanted a QR generator that looked great, worked for professionals, and was genuinely free — no watermarks, no paywalled exports, no signup walls. So we built the one we wanted to use, and I'm actively adding styles and features based on what people ask for. Where it's headed: a QR code should be designed, not generated — and increasingly, designed with AI. I'm building toward AI-assisted design and MCP support, so you'll eventually describe the look you want and have a branded, animated code designed for you, right from your AI assistant. Free to use at qrocodile.io. Feedback and style requests genuinely welcome.
