RideAlong is a developed student ridesharing platform designed to connect drivers with riders who are already traveling in the same direction.Unlike traditional rideshare services where drivers operate specifically to complete ride requests, RideAlong is built around shared trips. Drivers can post trips they are already planning to take, while riders can discover available rides that match where they need to go.The platform has been developed into a working product with dedicated experiences for riders and drivers, including account management, ride creation and discovery, trip management, driver applications and verification, payments, mapping/location functionality, and supporting backend infrastructure.RideAlong has been developed by a seven-person team over more than a year and has progressed through startup competitions, conferences, product testing, and multiple iterations based on what we learned while building the business.The sale provides an opportunity for a buyer to acquire an established ridesharing technology product and brand rather than starting from scratch. A buyer could continue operating RideAlong under the existing brand, expand into additional markets, or use the underlying technology as the foundation for another transportation or mobility business.
