About

I built Ruvalo AI because I kept seeing the same problem: good candidates getting filtered out by ATS software before a human ever reads their resume, not because they lacked the experience, but because their resume didn't use the right words. So I built a tool that scores your resume against a specific job description, tells you exactly what's missing, and rewrites the wording to match — without ever inventing experience you don't actually have. That last part mattered a lot to me; it's the one rule the AI is never allowed to break. It grew from there. You can upload an existing resume (PDF or DOCX) and it parses it automatically. Once you're tailoring for a specific role, it can pull the job description straight from a URL, generate a matching cover letter, and search live job postings across multiple providers so you're not stuck manually hunting. Under the hood the scoring isn't just "ask the AI for a number" — it extracts the real requirements from the job post, then scores your resume against them deterministically, so the score is trustworthy and doesn't jump around between runs.Because I wanted this to be something I could run as a real business, not just a demo, I built out the parts that usually get skipped in a side project: a proper credit-based billing system, an admin dashboard to manage users and pricing, and a full affiliate program with commission tracking and payouts. Branding — name, colors, logo, copy — all comes from one config file, so the whole look can be changed without touching component code. I also went through and did a full security pass on the app — auth checks, input sanitization, race conditions on billing — the kind of thing that's easy to defer and painful to discover later.Where it stands right now: it's live and everything works end to end, but I haven't done any marketing or user acquisition yet, so there's no revenue or user base to hand over — just a finished, working product. Honestly, that's exactly why I'm selling. I like building things more than I like running the marketing/growth side of a business, and this is at the point where it needs someone who enjoys that part to actually take it somewhere. The sale includes the full codebase and the domain.

fighting a sorting robot with a writing robot is my kind of petty.

description cuts off mid-sentence, not great for a writing tool
