NotebookLM takes sources one at a time, through a file picker. Source LM takes the batch.Any JSON with records — a Telegram chat export, a support-ticket dump, a Zotero library — is packed into as many Markdown files as it takes, budgeted under NotebookLM's 500,000-word per-source cap and never split mid-record. Run it again later and only the new records go up.YouTube is the other half: a video, a playlist or a whole channel becomes one source per video, with transcripts and optionally the top comment threads, from buttons injected into YouTube's own UI. Web pages work too — paste one link or a whole list; pages NotebookLM can't fetch are captured as Markdown from the tab you already have open.Nothing is written to disk and nothing leaves the machine. The popup builds the files in memory and sends them to the notebook page's own origin — there is no backend and no account, so the Google session never reaches a third-party server.
