Whimbel makes personalized illustrated hardcover books that are not templates.You tell the story: something that really happened, or one you would like invented. A first birthday, a summer by the sea, a grandparent teaching a grandchild to bake. Then you add one photo of everyone who should be in it. The book is written around your story and illustrated so the characters look like your family, down to the clothes they were wearing.How it works1. Tell the story. It is a conversation, not a form.2. Add one photo of each person or pet, or one group photo.3. For $7.99, read the whole book on screen about ten minutes later, page by page, before anything is printed.4. If you love it, order the printed hardcover for $44.99. The $7.99 comes off the price.Prices are the same number in dollars, euros and pounds. We looked for a personalized book that told our own family's story and found only templates with the name changed. So we built Whimbel, and made the first books for our own daughter.
