Building on the AT Protocol makes a lot of sense here. Data portability could be a real draw for people frustrated with Last.fm's lock-in. Wondering how the discovery piece works though, does it rely on your social graph or is there algorithmic recommendation under the hood? That's usually the hardest part to get right without a massive centralized dataset.
