It works like this: the game grabs a random 30-day window of a real US stock (out of ~220), hides the name, squishes it into 30 seconds, and matches you with a stranger. You both start with a fake $10k. Buy and sell as much as you want. When the bell rings, whoever made more money wins, and the game tells you what you were actually trading. "That was Nvidia, March 2022" hits different when you actually capitalized on it lol There's an Elo ladder so beating strangers actually counts...
